Overview
Henderson is Clark County's second-largest city and shares the same CCAQMD wood-burning curtailment rules as Las Vegas. Henderson has extremely high HOA density — most of its residential development is in master-planned communities. Propane and natural gas fire features are the overwhelmingly dominant choice.
Building Permits
City of Henderson Building and Safety — 702-267-3500, cityofhenderson.com/building. Henderson has a well-organized online permit portal. Permanent features require permits. Gas work requires a licensed contractor.
CCAQMD Curtailment
Check cleanairforce.com for curtailment days November through February. All wood-burning in Clark County (including Henderson) is prohibited on declared curtailment days. Gas fire features are not restricted.
